Reminisce! What is your favorite type/color of apple? Did you ever cook with apples? What is your favorite apple dish?

Painting is a nice social activity for small groups.

Paint your picture, add a cup of tea, and chat about apples and food that you can make with them.

Early and middle-stage memory care/dementia.

Supply materials, explain how to use/mix paints. Be on hand to offer support if needed.

If a person is reluctant to take part, leaving a brush and page in front of them can often lead to the person picking it up and engaging after a while of watching others paint.

Late-stage memory care/dementia.

Use hand over hand assistance if this is possible.

Watching others paint is a nice activity as a passive observer if the person is not able to participate actively.

Hint: Don’t forget to paint the background.

It will really lift the look of the finished picture.
