Painting is a nice social activity for groups.
Add some Christmas reminiscing. What was the best gift you ever received for Christmas?
Early and middle-stage memory care/dementia.
Provide supplies and explain how to use/mix paints. Be on hand to offer support if needed.
If someone is hesitant to participate, simply placing a brush and canvas in front of them may encourage them to engage after observing you or other people painting.
Late-stage memory care/dementia.
This is a nice activity as a passive observer if the person is not able to participate actively.
