Which is the Odd Word Out? #3

Can You Find It?

Short Description:

In a row of four words, guess which one is the odd word out!
Read the lines across from left to right and put the answer in the empty box on the far right.

We have attached an answer sheet, but sometimes there can be more than one correct answer. As long as you have a reason for picking your answer, that’s fine; it doesn’t have to be the same as on the answer sheet. Be imaginative!

For example, in the line that says: Banana, Peach, Parsley, Papaya. The right answer might be Banana because the others start with P. The answer might also be Parsley as it is the only herb in the group.

Directions for Caregivers:

You can have a good discussion one-on-one and see if you can come up with more than one reason for a word being the odd one out.

As a group activity, call out one line at a time and ask for suggestions. See how many different answers you can come up with. As long as you have a reason for choosing a specific word, it is fine.

Supply participants with the worksheet so that they can see the words easily.
