Fall Leaves Coloring Pages

Get Creative With Fall Colors.

Short Description:

Get creative with these fall/autumn coloring pages. The main colors of this time of year are green, yellow, red, orange, brown, purple, and a mix of these colors to create new shades.

Directions for Caregivers:

Make your painting session a social occasion. Add a cup of tea and chat about the different seasons. Consider holding your painting session by the window so you can enjoy the view outside. You might bring some leaves inside and try to identify what type of tree they came from.

Encourage participants to create their own fall-related drawings as well as coloring in the printed weather pages. Encourage discussion about the weather throughout the sessions.

Early and mid-stage dementia

Ensure the person has everything they need, such as paints, brushes, and a coloring page. Stay nearby in case they need help.

If someone doesn’t want to join in straight away, place a brush and a page in front of them. Often, they will start to paint after watching others for a while. Even watching you paint can be enjoyable. They might enjoy discussing the colors or deciding where to place them.

If they still don’t want to start, gently try hand-over-hand painting, but only if they are comfortable with it.
