In this fun crossword for seniors, you are given a clue to one-half of famous duos. You have to fill in the second person’s name in the grid. They can be singers, actors, fictional or other well-known pairings.

Directions for Caregivers:

As a one-on-one activity, join the person in trying to figure out the answers. Give some extra clues to trigger the memory. Do some reminiscing about the couples.

You can use this as a group or hallway activity, either by printing individual sheets for people in the group or using it as a quiz. Read the clues aloud and invite discussion about the different duos.

For example, Simon and Garfunkel; does anyone remember their most famous songs?

Answer: The Sound of Silence, Bridge over troubled waters. Or, give extra clues such as, for #8 across, go on to say that they featured in Seasame Street, they were puppets, etc. This will help to trigger the replies.
