Coloring – House

Try Drawing Your Own House Too!

Supply List:

  • Printed image
  • Brush
  • Paints (or coloring pens/markers)
  • Water for cleaning brushes

Directions for Caregivers:

Bring a blank page to the activity and encourage the drawing of your own house as well as painting together.

Painting is an excellent group activity.

Early and middle-stage memory care/dementia,

A house is a basic structure, and many of us will remember drawing houses as a child.

Encourage drawing your own house, as well as painting the house coloring page.

If a person is reluctant to take part, leaving a brush and page in front of them can often lead to the person picking it up and engaging after watching others paint.

Painting is a nice activity as a passive observer if the person is not able to actively participate.

About this Activity

Hint: Don’t forget to paint the background.

It will really lift the look of the finished picture.
