Coloring – Flowers in a Pot

What Colors Will You Paint?

Supply List:

  • Printed image
  • Brush
  • Paints (or coloring pens/markers)
  • Water for cleaning brushes

Directions for Caregivers:

Remember that there is no wrong way to paint a picture. It’s all about the experience. Have fun!

Add some reminiscing about favorite flowers.

Painting is a great group activity. Encourage participants to do some drawings of their own too.

Early and middle stage memory care/dementia.

As above, offer more support if needed. If a person is reluctant to take part, leaving a brush and page in front of them can often lead to the person picking it up and engaging after a while of watching others paint.

Never look for perfection, it’s just for fun!

This is a nice activity as a passive observer if the person is not able to actively participate.
