Join Jen to make a real brain power smoothie to beat inflammation.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate juice
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

Method:

In your blender first put in the ice and pomegranate juice then add all the other ingredients and blend well. This smoothie can be frozen and used as ice cream!

As an added nice social activity, make a list and go for a shopping trip together to buy the ingredients.

How you might use this as an activity:

For Individuals (independent persons), make as described above.

Or

Along with a caregiver / activity director for the following:

One-on-one activity, do it together. Measure out the ingredients and enjoy the results!

Early stage memory care / dementia, do it together. Measure out the ingredients and enjoy the results!

Middle stage memory care / dementia, do it together. Measure out the ingredients and enjoy the results!

Late stage memory care / dementia, as a passive observer, watch how it is made and get to drink it.
