Apple Greeting Card

Easy Craft

Supply List:

  • Blank greeting card
  • Patterened paper
  • Green paper
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Dark colored marker
  • Glue stick

Directions for Caregivers:

Enjoy making cards together. Maybe make a collection of cards to have for when you are in need of one.

This is an excellent group activity. Supply a variety of different patterned papers so that everyone’s card looks slightly different.

This card is relatively easy to make. If the person you are with is not able to cut and glue, pointing to the placement of the apple and helping to smooth the glued pieces in place still creates engagement.

Watching someone else making a card or other craft makes for a nice social activity in itself.

About this Activity

This activity is an easy-to-make handmade greeting card suitable for various occasions.

Draw your apple shape, either on a piece of paper to create a template to draw around or draw the shape straight onto the back of the patterned paper. The shape is quite simple to draw, a circle that is indented top and bottom.

Cut the apple shape out, and glue it to the front of your blank greeting card. If your card is opened flat, glue it onto the right-hand side.

Draw a small stem from the top of the apple.

Cut out and glue on two green paper leaves.

Add a greeting if you like.

Another shape that is easy to draw is a pear.
