A mental activity that doesn’t take too long, and people usually engage well with good focus and concentration as the game goes on. Do it verbally by calling a word and asking for the opposite word. This word game is an excellent dementia activity.

Directions for Caregivers:

Just like proverbs, opposites tend to trigger the memory, and people often automatically come up with the right word once they hear the first one. 

Calling the words will usually result in a chorus of responses from the participants.
