Halloween Pumpkin Table Centre
With Lynda
Before you start, soak the oasis in a bowl of water for long enough to have absorbed enough water to sink in the bowl.
The flowers and foliage keep better if soaked overnight.
Make a diagonal cut at the base of stems and place it into a container with water.
Place your round oasis holder on top of the pumpkin and draw a circle around it.
Cut a hole with a knife and using a spoon, take all the seed out of the pumpkin.
Place the holder into the opening and put the wet oasis into it.
Cutting the flower and foliage to size using diagonal cuts makes them last longer.
Start your arrangement by inserting foliage sideways into the oasis.
Lynda is using two types of evergreen plants. Then start inserting your flowers.
To determine the height of your arrangement, place a central flower in place.
Then fill in all the gaps with more flowers and foliage until you are happy with the result.
The pumpkin may leek after a couple of days so it is advisable to keep it on a plate.
This arrangement also works on its own without the pumpkin as shown in the next image, should you so prefer.
