Every week we host a virtual Activity Social for our premium members. This happens every Wednesday and is a wonderful way to meet new friends, do activities together and have fun in a virtual group setting.
For Caregivers
Take a break while your Loved One is with us on Zoom with our Activity Team.
The activities are fun, engaging, and done in a group atmosphere to encourage social connection.

In each month’s booklet, there is one craft activity. We will send you the supplies needed to complete the craft with the booklet with this package. In addition, you are welcome to join in the monthly activity socials with our team and your fellow community members and partake in our weekly activity challenges.

I signed up to Maria's Place website a few months ago and find it so useful. It’s a one stop spot to get lots of fresh ideas for our residential facility and it wonderful to share the ideas with the other activity staff throughout the organisation.
It’s very rewarding to walk around the units and see the amazing art works created by our residents. And the best thing is that you can log on for a few minutes get a few ideas, and start creating straight away - you don't need to spend hours clinking around other sites trying to find something that might work for the dementia patients.
All Maria's ideas and projects have been tried and tested in nursing homes with similar residents so I know they will be suitable for our clients.

I’m in love with your site. I happened across it while looking for arts and crafts for people with Alzheimer’s. I cannot believe that you have put together this wonderful information and that it’s free. I have been looking for information on this disease because my mother is suffering from it, and I was at a loss as to what to do in certain situations, like when she keeps asking the same questions over and over. Your posts are short and to the point, and I prefer that to articles that go on and on and almost put me to sleep. Yours are informative and lively and are touched by some humor which is very important to me.

I used your example of “These Hands” today with the residents in the facility I work in today, and once they and the staff got the idea, they took off with suggestions on how they used their hands.
