Easter Chickens

 
 

These funny chickens will be sure to delight in your home, nursing home or facility.

Maria and Sheila show you step by step how to make them and tell how the project can be modified for different ability levels.

Supply list:

  • Polystyrene egg or ball
  • Knife to cut the base off
  • Small pieces of fabric
  • Felt or card paper for beak and feet
  • Diluted white glue (2 parts glue to 1 part water)
  • Sponge brush
  • Darning needle
  • Feathers
  • Joggle eyes

How you might use this activity:

For Individuals (independent persons), make as described in the video.

Or

Along with a caregiver / activity director for the following:

One-on-one activity, group activity, early stage memory care / dementia, middle stage memory care / dementia. make as described in the video. Offer guidance and assistance where needed.

Late stage memory care / dementia, fun activity to enjoy watching others making the chickens as a passive observer.
