Immunity Builder Smoothie

A Sweet Fruit Smoothie.

Supply List:

  • 1/4 cup almonds (whole, blanched or slivered)
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 1/2 cup mango
  • 1/2 cup cantaloupe
  • 1/4 cup pineapple
  • 1/4 cup milk of your choice (almond milk works well in this recipe)

Directions for Caregivers:

Make it a nice social activity, measure out the ingredients together, and enjoy the results!

Early and middle-stage memory care/dementia.

Measure out the ingredients together and enjoy the results! If the person you are with is unable to peel and chop, they might be able to tip the ingredients into the blender.

Late-stage memory care/dementia.

Join in as a passive observer, watch the smoothie being made, and get to drink it.

Method:

In a blender, put the almonds in first, then add all the other ingredients. Blend well until smooth.

As an added nice social activity, make a list and go on a shopping trip together to buy the ingredients.
