Gratitude

Do You Feel It?

About this Activity

What Are You Thankful For?

Gratitude is what can make the difference between having a rough day and having the best day of your life. You know those days when the birds seem to be singing a song just for you? When you feel like you have an extra skip in your step because you feel so good? What about when you take a look around, take a deep breath, and you can feel all of the goodness in your entire being? These are the moments that make us feel alive and make us feel LOVE all around us. These are my favorite moments.

What if I told you that you can experience more of these moments in your daily life?

I believe that you must have all types of experiences in your life- from laughter, happiness, and love to sadness and fear. After all, if you didn't have sadness, how would you know what it truly feels like to be happy? If you didn't have fear, how could you ever experience that glorious feeling of overcoming your fears?

Everyone has room in their life to bring in a little more happiness and a little more love. This can be done any time, and it comes from an appreciation of what is around you in the present moment. At any given moment of the day, there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for. All you have to do is look for even the smallest details of the moment that you might usually overlook. Look for the part of your present moment that brings just a glimmer of gratitude, and then you have found the key. The more you begin to notice all of the miraculous things that are happening or are present with you in each moment, the more you will feel gratitude, contentment, and happiness.

Take the photo at the top of this page. Just looking at this photo, for me, fills me with the feeling of being outside in nature. It reminds me of the feeling I get walking in the deep woods on a snowy day. This is one of my favorite places on earth, and I am so grateful I can feel the beauty of the outdoors just from looking at this one photo.

Now it's your turn. What is around you right now that makes you grateful to be alive in this moment?

Sending wishes for finding more and more gratitude in your life,
