Be who you are
Today I wanted to tell you that YOU ARE ENOUGH. What do I mean by that? I mean that you, as you are, are enough. Maybe you don’t need to change your preferences for food, or lose weight, or put more makeup on, or do anything different other than be who you are. Now that doesn’t mean that we get to stop learning or navigating this crazy ride called life. It does mean that you don’t have to be anyone other than who you are.
We live in a world where the messages we receive are mostly about how to change or improve who we are: what we look like, what we eat, what we buy - it just goes on and on. We have been taught to seek validation from society at large...what if we validated ourselves? Just for a moment, let’s stop and realize that we are ok. We are enough. Let’s not change in this exact moment and accept who we are: flaws and all. Scary! Yet freeing.
Next time you are having a hard day and can’t stop putting yourself down. Stop, breathe, and say to yourself; “I am enough.”
